How to do Transpose in Excel?
Last Updated 6 years ago
The TRANSPOSE function returns a vertical range of cells as a horizontal range, or vice versa. The TRANSPOSE function must be entered as an array formula in a range that has the same number of rows and columns, respectively, as the source range has columns and rows.
Steps: -
1. Select the cells containing the headings and data you want to transpose
2. Click the “Copy” button or press Ctrl+C to copy the selected cells.
3. Click a blank cell where you want to copy the transposed data. The cell you select becomes the top, left corner of whatever you’re copying.
4. Click the down arrow under the “Paste” button, and then click the “Transpose” button on the dropdown menu.
5. Now your rows become columns and your columns become rows.
